Chris Demierre
Founder & SSI Instructor Trainer
Originally from Switzerland, Chris is the founder of ChrisDiving, an SSI Diamond Dive Center located in Playa Potrero, Costa Rica.
With 17 years of diving experience, including 9 years exploring Costa Rica’s Pacific waters, and more than 7,000 dives completed, Chris has developed extensive expertise in recreational, technical and professional scuba diving.
As an SSI Instructor Trainer, he is passionate about sharing his knowledge, introducing beginners to the underwater world and preparing the next generation of dive professionals.
His approach combines Swiss precision, high safety standards and personalized training, ensuring that every diver feels confident, comfortable and supported.
Whether guiding experienced divers around the Catalina Islands, exploring the Bat Islands or training future SSI instructors, Chris believes that diving should always be a safe, exciting and unforgettable experience.

Nealan Demierre
SSI Diving Instructor
Growing up in a family passionate about the ocean, Nealan developed a strong connection with the underwater world from an early age.
Today, as an SSI Diving Instructor with more than 2,000 dives, he shares his passion through personalized training, underwater exploration and unforgettable diving adventures along Costa Rica’s Pacific coast.
Whether introducing beginners to their first underwater experience or guiding certified divers around the Catalina Islands, Nealan combines professionalism, patience and enthusiasm to help every diver feel comfortable and confident.
His knowledge of the local dive sites and marine environment, together with his attention to safety, makes him an important part of the ChrisDiving family team.
Nadia Demierre
Hospitality & Logistics Manager | Horizon Lodge
Originally from Switzerland, Nadia is an essential part of the ChrisDiving family team and the person behind the welcoming atmosphere of Horizon Lodge.
With a background in competitive skiing, she has always enjoyed the outdoors, particularly the mountains, hiking, traveling and discovering new places.
Although she is also a certified Deep Diver, Nadia feels just as much at home in the mountains as by the ocean, bringing a different perspective to the family’s diving adventures.
At ChrisDiving, she plays an important role behind the scenes, helping organize daily operations and preparing the homemade cakes, fresh fruits and refreshments that our guests enjoy between dives.
She also manages Horizon Lodge, taking care of accommodation arrangements and helping guests feel welcome, comfortable and at home during their stay.
Her dedication, attention to detail and warm hospitality contribute to making every ChrisDiving experience special, both above and below the surface.
Norlenn Demierre
Marketing & Administrative Support
Growing up in the ChrisDiving family, Norlenn has always been connected to the world of scuba diving and the beautiful Pacific coast of Costa Rica.
Currently studying International Business Management at university in Groningen, the Netherlands, she brings a fresh, international perspective to the family business.
While pursuing her studies abroad, Norlenn supports ChrisDiving remotely, contributing to marketing, communication projects and administrative tasks.
Naturally sociable, friendly and outgoing, she enjoys connecting with people from different cultures, discovering new places and sharing experiences.
Although she is also a certified scuba diver, her main interests extend beyond the underwater world, reflecting her curiosity and enthusiasm for travel and international experiences.
Even from thousands of kilometers away, Norlenn remains part of the ChrisDiving family adventure, helping the business grow while building her own professional future.
